Bush makes a smart choice

I just read that President Bush will commute Scooter Libby’s Prison sentence.  While it is not as good as a pardon which was what I would have preferred it is still nice to know that Scooter will not go to prison for a non crime.

I know that the press will rail on Bush for this but I actually think this will help his poll numbers.  The liberals already hate him and his base (including me) have been growing more and more frustrated with him, by commuting the sentence I think this will help him with his base.  It really cannot hurt him.  I guess it could backfire and his numbers could sink down to the level of the Democrat controlled Congress.  I doubt it though.

[this is good] I too, am glad he commuted Scooter's sentence. I have heard the Dems condemning this action. I want them to comment on Sandy Burglar and all the pardons made by Clinton just before leaving office.

I think he'll get the full pardon at the end of Bush's term...for once, I think the Bush team played the PR angle as well as it could be played.  If you rail against the sentence too much you run into trouble because ultimately it was a jury that found him guilty and the political motives don't stick to them like they do the prosecutor and the CIA lovebirds (I'm drawing a blank right now on names).

I've only watched Fox, but, the press coverage hasn't been too harsh.  They had a Clinton/Democratic analyst on and she agreed that it was just big ugly political hit job and seemed to think the Bush move was the fair move.

Al invented it!  I know the link from above is a dead end.. BUT!  you can search and find the answer...!  You see you are the reason Berry is in office!  After the election we found out that 54% or whatever it was... that is the percent of uninformed Americans... its OBVIOUS you fall under that umbrella!  If i were Floyd i would ask that you not post on my page, because its a DEAD END!  you dont care about the truth... facts.... you are a moron!  LOL  i think its safe to  say that!

Yeah and you probably think Sarah Palin can see Russia from her porch too.  Not sure if you actually keep up with current events at all but for the Record Scooter Libby is not in prison.  Bush did in fact commute the sentence of Lewis "Scooter" Libby, at least according to CNN, Fox News, The Washing Post and numerous other sources.  

I am not sure who told you that Scooter Libby is in Prison, or that his sentence was not commuted but maybe next time do a quick fact check before posting comments. I mean you are obviously sitting in front of a computer when you are  typing your ignorant comments.  Next time just go to Google and do a quick search for the item you are talking about, in this case "Scooter Libby" and see what you get.
